Calling all Umpires

Jim McGuinness will be hosting the annual HYBSA Umpire Clinic, Saturday April 7th at 9:00 AM @ Flagg Field. Please attend if you have umpired in the past or if you are interested in umpiring this season.

When the schedules come out, Jim will send out the games and you folks can respond with availability. If you’re away at college and want games when you come back, just note that to me as well.

2018 HYBSA Fund Raiser Raffle

This year we are doing a cash raffle as our fund raiser. Each ticket is $25, and gives the buyer a chance at winning one of (3) $1000 prizes. We will be drawing the winners on 2 separate dates. The first $1,000 drawing will happen on May 6th, immediately following the Opening Day Parade. The second and third $1,000 drawings will be between the Minors and Majors Championship games on June 10th at Flagg Field.

Baseball Assessment Day - Sunday March 11th, 2018 at Holliston High School Fieldhouse

Baseball Assessment Day – Sunday March 11th, 2018 at Holliston High School Fieldhouse 
 
Attendance to the assessments is required for those registered in baseball farm, minors, and major leagues and born between 4/30/06 and 9/1/09 (typically 2nd grade to 6th grade) and will be used to balance our spring teams. Assessment information will also be used, in combination with the separate Summer Tryouts in early June, to help determine summer baseball placements. 
 
Players should be attending the clinics as follows: 
 
9:00 am – 10:00 am Baseball 8s (born between 9/1/09 and 8/31/10) 
10:00 am – 10:45 am Baseball 9s (born between 9/1/08 and 8/31/09) 
10:45 am – 11:45 am Baseball 10s (born between 9/1/07 and 8/31/08) 
12:30 pm – 1:30 pm Baseball 11s (born between 5/1/06 and 8/31/07) 
1:30 pm – 3:00 pm Baseball 12s (born between 5/1/05 and 4/30/06) 
Note:
  • All players will be required to bring their own baseball glove and batting helmet. 
  • Parents will not be allowed in the gym during assessments. Parents interested in volunteering as a coach (head or assistant), should fill out a CORI form.
